Limsophy module overview

Process-adaptive modules

In Limsophy, logic function units are combined into modules. They manage addresses, parameters, test equipment etc., for example. The standard functionality of the modules is mainly generic. In order to map the business processes with Limsophy, the modules are extended specifically for each customer. Limsophy modules are process adaptive but retain always their release capability. The modular technology is explained in detail in the menu item Solutions.

Application texts and Help	Application texts and context-sensitive help available in several languages
Appointments	Interactive calendar view of resource per time unit
Appointment-iCalendar interface	Parameterizable interface for appointment export via .ics files
Automation	Parameterizing procedures (jobs) which should be executed automatically.
Calcite saturation	Calculating the calcite saturation in the sample entry.
Chemicals/standards	Managing the chemicals and reference substances. Managing shelf life checks of the lots of reference substances. Documenting substance orders.
CRM	Typifying address material, defining campaigns with automatic email dispatch, managing ToDos and appointments.
Evaluations	High- performance data mining for very large data volumes and data export module.
Extended file management	Full-text search (.pdf, .xls, .xlsx, .doc, .docx, .txt, .rtf) based on a central file management with file indexing, document storage in all Limsophy modules.
Extended MS Excel interface	Parameterizable export of data from Limsophy into worksheets of MS Excel.
Extended MS Word interface	Publishing Limsophy data as Word report including data export/import MS Word.
Hierarchical box management	Hierarchically structured object storage such as samples on micro arrays in refrigerators, rooms and buildings.
Invoice module	Offer/invoice module
Inspection module	Planning, documenting based on checklists, managing measures and deadlines, inspection reports and conclusions.
Laboratory journal and result graphics	Recording results for several samples as table. Defining calculations including results of several samples. Parameterizable graphics of results including control charts.
Limit value lists	Managing regulatory limit values or specific limit values. Limit value lists can be stored for different objects in Limsophy analogous to test profiles.
Limsophy Match	Similarity check for data duplicates while entering data or similarity check while comparing data from two data sources.
Limsophy Offline	Recording data offline with Limsophy on a mobile device. The data volume is reduced.
Limsophy Web	Accessing required Limsophy data via parameterizable web pages such as recording offers, tracking statuses, downloading reports, evaluating data etc.
Master data modules	Parameters, Methods, Units, Test methods, User/LIMS administration.
Module Designer	Parameterizable design of the user interface of modules such as masks and dashboards.
Multilingualism	Software and data can be translated into several languages.
Offer/charging module	Creating offers with automatic email dispatch, automatic service recordings and the charging of laboratory services
Order management	Invoicing addresses, correspondence addresses, resource requirements per order, status overview, single releases, overall releases, dispatch documentation, archiving.
PDF functionality	Combining Limsophy reports into one PDF file, encrypting and signing.
Plain text detection*.msg	Plain text detection of Outlook mail format for full-text search.
Price lists	Managing the publication of price lists
Product development	Limsophy Creation: Developing multi-stage recipes.
Projects	Managing projects where subphases are displayed as Gantt charts; basic project management functions.
Reports	Integrated report tool in order to have version-managed report templates such as work lists, graphics, statistics.
Resource planning	Visualizing if resources are available.
Result management	Recording results per workstation, full traceability via Audit-Trail. Automatically copying results from test equipment.
Rules	Define parameterizable rules to trigger an action.
S3 data storage	Outsourcing large files from the database to a protected S3 file system
Sample array	Defining any microtiter plates. Displaying samples and results on microtiter plates.
Sample series	Scheduling recurrent samples based on sampling intervals, scope of examination and examination conditions. Visualizing schedule proposal in an interactive calender view.
Sampling points	Managing sampling points with coordinate reference, defining blocking times for sample scheduling, displaying the collected samples at the sampling point.
Scan to Limsophy	Automatically storing scanned documents in Limsophy controlled by barcode. A PDF file with stored plain text (e.g. by OCR analysis) is required from the customer as a prerequisite.
Specifications	Version-managed maintenance of the scope of examination with limits specific to the product and specific to the customer. A dynamic scope of examination is parameterizable.
Strain/culture management	Relationships, nutrient media, documenting growth curves.
Telephone	Caller identification and parameterizable options for reacting to incoming calls (the telephone system has to meet certain technical prerequisites such as the support of powershell commands and access to address information).
Test equipment	Managing test equipment, free definition of maintenance intervals and their monitoring, possibility of keeping a log
Test management	Managing and automatically executing test cases as well as documenting executed tests with test results.
Test profiles	Managing test profiles. Test profiles can be stored for any object in Limsophy (e.g. sampling point, sample type, product, project etc.).
Time recording	Recording time per task and per project.
Web service	Limsophy web service for communicating with Limsophy via SOAP and for calling external web services via SOAP/REST
XHTML to Word	Publishing Limsophy data coming from XHTML fields as a Word report (.docx). Defining header and footer centrally.
